Over 33.000 people study in Antwerp! One in three students goes to university, the rest heads for a college. Three quarters of the students studies in the Antwerp district, 15 percent studies in Wilrijk.
One in four students in Antwerp has his legal residence there. 2 percent is from the Netherlands and another 2 percent is an Erasmus programme foreign exchange student.
In the past academic year, 5.500 students lived in digs. The AUA: Antwerp University Association is a collaboration of the University of Antwerp, the Antwerp Maritime Academy, Karel de Grote University College, Artsesis University College and Plantijn University College.
